June 24th 2026 : Different types of RicRac Plaiting
Service Description
My starting point for this project was the RicRac Plait. In this design we use three different RicRac Plaits, I love the look of this plait and it is useful for other designs too. We will make a spreuer, some straw beads or pearls and a little spiral finial. I will also show two different designs using these techniques. You can work along with me, or you can just watch and after the workshop you will receive a recording of the class for you to play back as often as you want while you make your piece. June 24th 2026 | 7pm - 9pm BST Materials Required: Approx 30-40 medium thickness plaiting straws, dampened Scissors Strong Thread Soft Thread, I used cotton Straw Splitter, 4 or 6 splitter Dog Comb or Spreuer tool Needle that will go through a straw Ruler Glue Gun and glue sticks Pin Board and Pins, can be a piece of polystyrene packing and dress makers pins If you book a kit it will contain all the straws required.
