Bee Happy Online Workshop
Monday 18th August 2025 : Learn how to make straw Daisies and Bees
Service Description
The inspiration for this project came from some brooches I was making and a friend said they were like cells in a beehive. It got me thinking, I have wanted to show how to use a Sternli tool for a while and I thought we could make daisies using that. If you don’t have the tool, you might have a needleholder and needles and I will show alternative flowers to make. I am often asked to teach bees so perfect with the flowers and the plaited frame needed to be in the shape of one of the cells. You can work along with me, or you can just watch and after the workshop you will receive a recording for you to play back as often as you want while you make your pieces. 18th August, 2025 7pm - 9pm BST 10 plaiting straws, medium thickness, dampened 14 fine plaiting straw, dampened 15-20 straw threads 2 Florist wires 20 gauge Fine wire for attaching the bees PVA glue Something for a hanger, I used paper covered wire Strong thread Scissors Wire Cutters Sternli tool or Needleholder and needles Long sharp needle Straw 6 splitter Ruler If you order the materials pack it will contain: All straws required Straw threads Florist wires
