Service Description

During this workshop we will be making one of my favourite shapes, the heart, which seemed appropriate because of the time of year. But more importantly we will concentrate on 3 or 4 different plaits and how we can join straws into the plait. This year quite a number of you will have seen that the straws are a little shorter than some years and I have had a few students express a worry about their plaiting so in this class we will explore how to join in new straws. This class will be delivered via Zoom and will be recorded for you to look at as often as you want. Materials Needed 50 plaiting straws, medium thickness, with heads, dampened 2 Florist wire 18-20 gauge Strong thread Scissors Wire Cutters Ruler Short piece of ribbon (optional) Kit will contain All straws required Florist wires
