Friday 10th April 1pm-4pm Saturday 11th April and Sunday 12th April 10am-4pm In Chapel of Garioch Hall, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire AB51 5HG I am excited to invite you to my local area to have a whole weekend of straw work! Situated right in the heart of the Garioch in Aberdeenshire with Bennachie as our backdrop. The market town of Inverurie is only 5 miles away. Lots of accommodation within a few miles so come and enjoy a relaxing weekend meeting new folk and working with straw. This time, the theme will be making figures out of straw. Using lots of different techniques we will make a series of figures, some standing or sitting, while others will look as if they have movement in them. We will explore how basic figures are made, I will show different ideas, and you will have the opportunity to make something special just for you. This weekend is suitable for all abilities, whether you have always wanted to learn the craft and didn’t know how to start or you have worked with straw for a while and need some inspiration and new projects. All your materials, tools etc. you will need will be provided. We will have tea and coffee at the hall, just bring your lunch and an enthusiasm to learn more about my wonderful craft. You can choose to come for the whole weekend or just one or two of the days. Prices include all materials needed for the projects.
